Today Varier participated at the Corporate Health Convention in Stuttgart, Germany for the first time.

There has been a lot of focus in the media about how today’s modern working conditions cause several health-related risks. Did you for example know that according to insurance health statistics almost 30 percent of all inabilities to work relate to muscle and skeletal sicknesses? This is where we come into the picture! We displayed our chairs at the Corporate Health Convention while explaining the benefits of an active seating position. We focused first and foremost on the Move chair as it helps to train the back through constant gentle movement. Keeping your muscles in constant movement is beneficial because it both strengthens the muscles and reduces those all too well known muscle tensions and headaches one gets from a long work day seated in front of the computer. Do you ever get really tired and heavy-headed towards the end of the day?  Sitting still for hours on end  cuts down the oxygen supply in your bloodstream. Varier chairs are designed to keep your circulation going through constant movement. This helps bring oxygen to the brain which in turn should help to encourage an awake and alert mind.

More and more organizations are starting to understand that a healthy and secure workplace has a positive influence on a company’s productivity and competitiveness. In the time of this so called “knowledge society” human resources have truly become the most important corporate reserve. We’re excited to be spreading the word about our philosophy: healthy seating at home and in the workplace and beautiful chairs!
